Call for Parent Support Group Facilitators

Dear Community members,
Muslim Parenthood Series is a new ISB program which is a series of monthly talks and support group conversations dedicated for Muslim parents and parents to be. We will carefully craft topics, talks, and interactive activities for parents to promote education and family engagement in a safe environment. In these sessions, parents will hear from community, social, and subject matter experts and researchers, share their experiences and best practices, and ask questions.
We have had an engaging start of the series. We are hearing from the community regarding the needs of the topics that are of immense importance and we are expanding this series.
What we are looking for:

Ability to commit:
-
Once a month on Sundays from 10am - 11:15am for the support group sessions

One hour to plan prior to each sessions

Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate group discussions effectively
Your responsibilities will include:

Leading group discussions and activities in a supportive, engaging, and constructive manner while offering guidance, resources, and emotional support as needed

Creating a safe and confidential space for parents to share their experiences
