The high school program offers a hybrid model combining secular education with Islamic teachings, using technology platforms and seminars by resident scholars. It aims to prepare students for career success while maintaining their Islamic identity, providing mentorship opportunities and a supportive peer environment.
The program includes dual enrollment with a local community college for juniors and seniors. The high school operates five days a week, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., taught by credentialed teachers and Islamic scholars. Enrollment is limited, emphasizing quality over quantity, and interested parents are encouraged to sign up quickly due to high demand. The Islamic Society of Baltimore has experienced significant growth since its establishment in 1969, evolving from a small group meeting at Johns Hopkins University to one of Marylands largest Islamic communities.
To sustain and further this growth, ISB is now adding the position ofExecutive Director.
We are now seeking an Executive Director (ED) to lead operations, strategic planning, and community engagement, ensuring that ISBs regular needs have someone on board full-time to address them.
The new ED will be crucial in ensuring ISBs continued success and expansion, driving impactful programming, fostering partnerships, and managing financial and administrative responsibilities.
