Womens Appreciation Dinner Luncheon

Last week, ISAK held a Womens Appreciation luncheon for all the women who graciously volunteered to plan and put on the Womens Appreciation Dinner honoring Palestinian womens strength and culture. The event included a thoughtful ceremony acknowledging each volunteer, an enjoyable icebreaker game to get to know one another better, and a delightful lunch.

Thank you to all the women who played a crucial role in making this event a success! Your contributions are deeply appreciated.

Participants are invited to join a panel of esteemed guest speakers for an insightful online discussion on a range of topics pertaining to Muslim men. Featuring Sameer Noor, a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, this session will discuss the qualities of Jalal and Jamal. The discussion will explore the distinct attributes of these qualities and how they manifest within individuals' personalities.

The panel will specifically focus on how men can navigate through life, finding a balance between their Jalal and Jamal qualities. The aim is to shed light on the mental health of Muslim men. Dr. Tarek Younis and Adam Afghan will also be featured in this discussion.

The Cleveland Clinic Community Health Equity and the Taussig Cancer Center will host their third annual Womens Health Fair on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Womens Health Fair will focus on addressing the unique health needs of African Americans in Clevelands Fairfax neighborhood and other areas of high need. During the event, attendees will enjoy health screenings, cooking demos, interactive breakout sessions, yoga, and more.

The event is presented in collaboration with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.; and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
