WALSH JESUIT STUDENT VISIT
Assalamu Alaykum! Last Friday, ISAK had the honor of hosting the senior class from Walsh Jesuit High School, so that they could have an immersive experience with the Muslim community.
They were welcomed and presented to by Br. Yaseen Shaikh, the Director of PR and Outreach, and Shaykh Musa Sugapong, scholar and founder of Knowman Learning. Afterwards, students had the opportunity to sit in the prayer hall and observe the Friday sermon and Jumu'ah prayer.
Alhamdulillah, it was a great opportunity for learning and helping others understand Islam and Muslims more!
The Islamic Society of Akron and Kent is committed to outreach to academic institutions to foster greater collaboration and understanding. We thank Mr. Lee and other faculty from Walsh Jesuit for working with us to make this happen, and look forward to seeing you again!
