TODAY: "GAZA TEACH-IN" EVENT

Join us today, Friday, December 29, 2023, from 7 to 8 pm, as Sister Lameess will be hosting an informative program called Gaza Teach In. This event aims to shed light on the complex issues surrounding the Gaza conflict, and the history of the blessed land, notably what has been going on for the last 75 years.

There will also be a special kids only programs at the same time, ensuring that attendees of all ages can benefit and enjoy their time at the masjid. In addition, food will be available for purchase, featuring a menu consisting of spicy rice and grilled chicken, from Sister Nadwa's Kitchen.

STARTING JANUARY 5, 2024: QURAN STUDY CIRCLES AT IOST

Starting from January 5, every Thursday, the IOST will be hosting a Qur'an Study Circle. Participants will not go over a word for word translation, but rather go over a brief overview of the Qur'an, and its thematic journey. Why does Allah speak about certain issues? Why are they important for our guidance, etc.? The study circle will be held on Thursdays from 7-8 PM, and is open to all. It is free to attend, but registration is required.

STARTING JANUARY 15, 2024: INTRODUCTORY QUR'ANIC ARABIC CLASS AT IOST

Inshallah, the IOST is starting a weekly 'Introductory Qur'anic Arabic' class at the masjid. Many in the community have asked and requested that we start a class to understand the Qur'an, and inshallah, this will be the first of many classes. This class will be held Mondays from 7 PM to 9 PM at the masjid, and will be taught by Imam Anas. It is open to both brothers and sisters ages 16+. The class is also online for those who cannot make, and on-demand for those who are not able to log in during that time. This class is for those who want to learn the Arabic language, and know how to read the Qur'an already. Inshallah, the first class will be on Monday, January 15, 2023.
