May Allah unite the ummah

Assalamualikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Today is March 10, 2024/ 29 Sha'ban, 1445

"O you who believe, the fasts have been enjoined upon you as they were enjoined upon those before you, so that you may be God-fearing"

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

On behalf of the Board, staff, and member organizations of Majlis Ash-Shura, I would like to extend my warmest greetings to you and your families for the start of the blessed month of Ramadan. May Allah accept your fasting and good deeds during this month and beyond. This sacred time of fasting, prayer, and reflection offers us an invaluable opportunity to strengthen our faith, renew our spirit, and enhance our commitment to the principles of compassion, charity, and community support.

As we gather with family and friends to observe this years Ramadan, let us keep in our prayers those who are facing oppression, hardship, and injustice across the globe, but mainly our brothers and sisters, Muslims and Christians, who are under unprecedented genocide in Gaza. In the spirit of unity and brotherhood that defines our faith, we pray for their relief, resilience, and liberation from their burdens. May the Allah Almighty ease their suffering, grant them peace, and bring about a world where justice and harmony prevail.

Let us also remember the importance of supporting one another within our community, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual care. Lets maintain our unity and collective efforts to positively impact the local and global levels.

Let us make the most of this holy month by deepening our understanding of the Holy Quran, the tradition of the Prophet, and the principles of Islam. Lets support our children, engage them in acts of charity, strive for spiritual growth and leadership, and positively contribute to society. Let us pray for a world filled with peace, justice, and prosperity for all. May this Ramadan bring peace, health, and happiness.

Have a blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Kareem!

Sincerely,
Abdelhafid Djemil, PhD
