SIGN-UP: Sisters' ONLY Quran Competition!
Dear sisters of the IFL Community,
The Islamic Foundation of Lincoln is excited to announce the Ramadan Quran competition for sisters of all ages! The competition will begin on Sunday, March 31st, 2024, at IFL: 129 West Belmont Ave, Lincoln, NE 68521 (Time: TBD), and registration will close on March 20th, 2024, after the Taraweeh prayer. There will be four different levels with designated surahs for different age groups. All ages are welcome to join the competition. Two winners will be chosen from each group, who will receive a certificate for completion with rewards.
RULES OF THE COMPETITION
SISTERS ONLY! Participants MUST sign up to qualify. Participants are expected to memorize the surah of their age group (minimum requirement). Any participant who fails to attend the competition day will be disqualified. Judges will choose winners based on memorization. In case of a tie placement, then Tajweed is highly encouraged. Two winners will be announced from each category and will receive awards on Sunday, April 7th, 2024, at 2:30 PM in the IFL women's area.
LEVELS
Level 1: Ages 3-6 (Surah Al-Bayinnah)
Level 2: Ages 9-13 (Surah Al-Naba)
Level 3: Ages 14-18 (Surah Al-Mulk)
Level 4: Ages 19+ (Surah Al-Kahf)
