When does Ramadan begin?
MSDV follows the Islamic calendar determinations set forth by the
๏ปฟย Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA).ย
As such, Ramadan begins this year on the evening of Sunday, March 10 2024.
The first day of fasting is Monday, March 11, 2024.
Taraweeh prayers begin the evening of Sunday, March 10.๏ปฟ
Taraweeh Prayer
Join ICCWG for daily Isha followed by congregational Taraweeh prayer, during which we will complete a full recitation of the Holy Quran over the course of Ramadan. The Taraweeh prayer will be led by Shaykh Mamdou Selim and Hafidh Mubeen Khan. Imam Basheer will do short Khatiras during the Taraweeh prayers. The first Taraweeh will be on Sunday, March 10
Note: Childcare will be available onSaturdays only for children ages 3-10.

Community Iftars
Join us every Saturday evening for our weekly community Iftar at the Masjid to break our fasts together. The Iftar on March 30 will be a potluck. All other Iftars would be catered Insha Allah. Please help us make these Iftars happen by sponsoring or cooking for one of the events! Whether you can donate or volunteer to cook, your support is greatly appreciated!

Teen Iftars
Calling all youth ages 13 and up to our Teen Iftar in Ramadan! The program will begin with a discussion at 6:30 p.m. followed by Maghrib prayers and have Iftar together! There will one Teen Iftar at each center Insha Allah!

Ramadan pause
Imam Basheer's weekly lectures and halaqas at ICCWG will be paused during the month of Ramadan and will resume after Eid ul Fitr, Insha Allah
Ramadan House Rules
Both MYCP and ICCWG will have thousands of visits per week in Ramadan. We would like your experience to be safe and enjoyable. We would like to foster an environment that promotes spiritual growth and fraternity.
