The Election Committee and the Board of Directors met to conduct a transitionary meeting and select the positions of the Board. The finalized Board positions are as follows:

Job Title: Operations Manager
Organization: Islamic Community Center of Tempe
Location: Tempe, Arizona
Overview: The Operations Manager at the Islamic Center is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring smooth functioning of administrative, logistical, and facility-related tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of the Islamic faith and community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility Management:
Supervise maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the Islamic Center premises.
Coordinate with vendors for repairs, renovations, and other facility-related tasks.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
2. Administrative Management:
Manage administrative staff and volunteers, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
Oversee administrative tasks such as record-keeping, correspondence, and filing systems.
Coordinate with leadership to implement policies, procedures, and guidelines.
3. Financial Management:
Prepare and monitor budgets for operational expenses, including utilities, maintenance, and supplies.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
Provide financial reports and analysis to the leadership team as needed.
4. Event Coordination:
Plan and coordinate events held at the Islamic Center, including religious gatherings, community programs, and educational workshops.
Liaise with event organizers, volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure successful events.
Manage logistics such as scheduling, setup, catering, and audiovisual equipment.
5. Community Engagement:
Serve as a point of contact for community members, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
Organize outreach initiatives to engage with the local Muslim community and foster connections.
Collaborate with other organizations and community groups to promote interfaith dialogue and cooperation.
6. Leadership and Supervision:
Provide leadership and guidance to staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring accountability and productivity.
Encourage professional development and training opportunities for team members.
7. Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing appropriate controls and protocols.
Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business administration, Management, Islamic Studies, or related field (preferred), or relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of Islamic principles, values, and practices.
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a religious or community organization.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Commitment to the mission and values of the Islamic Center.
Authorized to work in the United States of America (US Citizen or permanent resident)
A practicing Muslim according to the teachings of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) (Ahlul-Sunnah wal Jamaa)

ICC rents these spaces from ASU for the convenience of our community.
City Hall Parking (free for the first hour then $2 for each additional hour): 117 E 5th St, Tempe, AZ 85281
Lot 82 E/W for free,
the first hour of public parking at the Marriott building free for all Jummah Attendees
