ICC is looking for an Operations Manager!

The Islamic Community Center of Tempe (ICC) is a vibrant and community-focused organization committed to serving the needs of the Muslim community in the Phoenix Metro area, Arizona and beyond.
The Operations Manager position is a full-time exempt position. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors (BOD) or BOD representative, as assigned by the BOD.
 
Responsibilities:  The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the ICC operations in accordance with the organizations bylaws, mission, strategic objectives, and BOD direction.

2. Fiscal Management and Fund Development

  • Work in coordination with the BOD to prepare an annual budget, produce quarterly financial reports for the BOD, and track and report organizational spendings per budget guidelines.
  • Under the supervision of the BOD Financial Director and the BOD, oversee overall financial management, planning, budgeting, auditing, bookkeeping systems, and controls, including the management of ICCs budget.
  • Manage, validate, and track all operational bills (utilities, internet, security, fire monitoring, landscaping, etc.), validate accuracy, and submit bills to the accounting team for payment.
  • Manage and implement fundraising campaigns in coordination with the BOD.

 Qualifications and Skills:
 
The Operations Manager should, at minimum, have the following education, skills, and qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of progressive operations and financial tracking experience, or Masters degree with 3+  years experience in public or business administration preferred. Equivalent professional development experience will be considered towards minimum qualifications.
    • An MBA degree and academic background in accounting are desirable.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to initiate, analyze, and manage multiple projects in multiple domains (HR, finances, org. strategy)
  • Evaluate and advance strategic operational plans that support and contribute to the organizations mission and overall goals.
  • Strong capability in using social media and organizational technology platforms in a workplace setting (X, Instagram, Google Drive, Slack, etc.)
  • An excellent and compassionate listener, as well as oral and written communicator
  • Demonstrated skills in relationship building, motivating others, perseverance, leadership, strategy, and collaboration.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and cultivating a diverse workplace.
  • Familiarity and ability to work cordially with the diverse Muslim-American community, faith-based advocacy, and have a solid grasp of Islamic law and ethics with the ability to consult with the appropriate leaders for sensitive issues.
  • Strong commitment to quality work and high productivity.
  • Knowledge of non-profit tax requirements and other compliance implications of non-profit status.
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America (US Citizen or permanent resident)
  • A practicing Muslim according to the teachings of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) (Ahlul-Sunnah wal Jamaa)

This powerful production shares personal stories from the lives of Muslims, offering a glimpse into their experiences and struggles. 

Following the performance, stay for a talkback session and Q&A to engage with the cast and writer/director. 

Doors open at 6p at the beautiful Kroc Auditorium located inside the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Center Phoenix, Arizona. Please plan to arrive early for seating. 

Show starts promptly at 7p, so please plan to arrive early (doors open at 6pm.)

_**Parking: the new owners of the Church next door and the tricks restaurant has told us that they will be putting stickers on cars that are illegally parked on their property and then towing them after that.

the first hour of public parking at the Marriott building free for all Jummah Attendees
