Activity Building Update!
As of December 31, 2023, the construction project continues to move forward, and a substantial completion is now expected for the end of February -- with the hope of using the new space for Ramadan, insha'Allah!
A final Use & Occupancy certificate should be issued towards the end of February 2024- inshallah.
There have been some delays due to the holidays and inclement weather, however, there is still steady progress, iA:
Outside:
- Tyvek and exterior air barrier installation was certified; brick installation continues.
- Siding installation will begin by mid-January, as well as prep for painting.
- Completion of metal standing seams roof, metal fascia, gutters and downspout installation to follow.
Inside:

Plumbing, rough-ins and HVAC installation are completed, inspected and certified.

Audio visual wiring, security camera wiring and interior air seals and firestops are completed.

Electrical rough-ins significantly completed; electrical closing inspection pending.

Drywall and interior doors installation will begin in mid-January, iA.
PEPCO work and WSSC final certification should be completed the first week of January. Remaining interior and exterior activities will then proceed until full completion towards the end of January.

Green Team Hike
Saturday, January 6 ~ 6:30 am (after fajr prayers)
Join us for an easy hike at Swains Lock along the C&O canal and carpool from ICCP!
We will walk north (away from DC) approx 30 - 40 mins on the C&O and then turn around.
Swains Lock is located off River Road at 10700 Swains Lock Rd, Potomac, MD 20854. It is 1.9 miles from ICCP.
Please wear warm, layered clothing and bring water/snacks for yourself.
