Forgiveness - A Divine Command in Islam!

Let's Forgive One Another!

Dear ICCD Community Members,

Assalaamu 'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

As we embark upon the blessed month of Ramadan, a time of reflection, devotion, and spiritual growth, let us also delve into the profound virtue of forgiveness.

In Islam, forgiveness is not merely an act of kindness; it is an essential aspect of our faitha bridge that connects us to Allahs mercy and compassion.

Allow me to share some insights on forgiveness and its significance:

  1. Forgiveness in Islam: A Divine Command

  2. A Sound Heart Leads to Paradise

    • Qalbun Saleema heart free from worldly burdensis our aspiration. To attain it, we must release the hurt inflicted upon us.

    • The gates of Paradise open on Mondays and Thursdays, except for those who harbor grudges. Let us reconcile and cleanse our hearts.

  3. The Sunnah of Our Beloved Prophet

Why Forgive?

  • To gain Allahs forgiveness, we must forgive others. Our sins are numerous, and forgiveness is a path to expiation.

  • A forgiving heart leads to Jannah (Paradise).

  • Forgiveness is a Sunnaha practice of our beloved Prophet .

How Can We Forgive?

  • Acknowledge Hurt: Recognize the pain caused by others.

  • Release Grudges: Let go of resentment; it weighs down the heart.

  • Seek Reconciliation: Communicate, mend relationships, and heal.

  • Pray for Guidance: Ask Allah to soften hearts and grant wisdom.

My respected ICCD Community members, let us embrace forgiveness. It liberates us, strengthens bonds, and brings us closer to Allahs mercy. As we fast, pray, and seek His pleasure, let forgiveness be our compass.

May Allah grant us hearts that forgive readily and souls that find solace in His grace.

Ramadan Mubarak!

As the blessed month ofRamadanapproaches, we come together as a community to observe fasting, prayer, and reflection. One of the most cherished traditions during this sacred time is theIftar, the breaking of the fast at sunset. It is a moment of unity, gratitude, and generosity.

Iftar at the Masjid: A Time-Honored Tradition

  • Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged us to share our blessings with others. Providing Iftar to fellow community members is an act of charity and kindness.

  • The Masjid serves as a gathering place for our spiritual nourishment, and Iftar within its walls holds special significance.
