Asalaamu alaykum Brothers and Sisters:
Please mark the Day of Arafat at the ICCA by joining us on Saturday June 15th at 8:30 pm for a special community potluck iftar where we will formally introduce our new imam, Imam Kababa Drame, insha Allah.
We are very excited to welcome Imam Kababa, a longtime member of our community and a recent graduate of the University of Medina. Insha Allah, Imam Kababa will be launching numerous courses and initiatives for the broader community, including regular Islamic and Arabic courses and youth programming.
Please join us on Saturday to learn more and to donate to support the ICCA's efforts during a microfundraiser after dinner, insha Allah. This is a great opportunity for us to receive the maximized blessings of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah by helping the ICCA meet our monthly expenses.
Finally, we want to extend our thanks and appreciation to our beloved longtime imam, Imam Khalid, who recently decided to step down from his full-time role as imam. Insha Allah, we are hopeful that Imam Khalid will continue to join us for Ramadan and other activities as his schedule permits in the years ahead.
May Allah SWT reward him for his efforts and may Allah SWT grant our community and the whole ummah success in this life and the next.
