Community sponsored Iftars for Ramadan 1445 are as follows InshaAllah:
Ramadan 30 For 30 Program is back for its 11th year!
During these hard economic times we can all understand that money may not be able to be given. An alternative could be reaching into the cupboard and giving what we may already have.
In Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, The best charity is that given in Ramadan. (Bukhari and Muslim).
In another Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, Charity does not decrease wealth. (Bukhari). This hadith highlights the benefits of giving to others, even if it may seem difficult or sacrificial.
Our Prophet (peace be upon him) also said, "He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbour is hungry." (Bukhari).
Due to the size of the community, safety for the community, and municipal fire regulations, ISK will have to conduct 2 salahs on Eid-ul-Fitr.
Please kindly fill out the form in the link attached so we can coordinate with the City of Kingston.
We're looking for people who would either like to lead a bake-off party to have food prepped for Salat-ul-Eid.
We're looking for people who are willing to volunteer their time to setup and tear-down for Eid-ul-Fitr.
Timings are as follows:
As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathu,
Through these hard economic times it has been difficult for all of us to reach into our pockets and donate. At Salat-ul-Eid, arrangements have been made with the Kingston Foodbank to provide a bin for anyone who wishes to donate food instead of money.
As Salam Alaikum! The Queens University Muslim Student Association (QUMSA) is collecting donations for our 2024 QUMSA Ramadan Iftar program. QUMSAs ambition is to serve daily free iftars to the Muslim student community at Queens. This undertaking is funded entirely by community donations and sponsorships. This year, we are expecting to serve 150+ fasting students.
To make this possible, we have started a LaunchGood campaign, and would greatly appreciate any contributions you are willing to make, in order to reach our $10,000 milestone. May Allah SWT reward you all immensely for your generosity. Specific sponsorship packages are listed in detail on our campaign page, however, any contribution is greatly.
If youd like to request a specific date, please fill out the associated Google form and we will reach out to you shortly after! In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at [email protected]
We ask everyone in this community to kindly share this link amongst your circles and social media. This would go a long way in helping spread the reach of this initiative.

Because a lot of sisters fast on Thursdays, we changed it to be on Wednesdays.
We had the visit of a parking bylaw enforcement officer last Friday and they will start issuing tickets to those parked on the road during Friday prayers.
We need volunteers to get prisoners (not criminals) from Collins Bay to the masjid and return them after Khutba.
