JUMMA SALAT
Assalamu Alaikum,
MashaAllah the attendance to Salat Ul Jumaa at the ICK has been amazing! Unfortunately, we continue to have difficulties with parking as we far exceed the designated parking spots on the property and this leads to a number of problems including potential safety concerns. We have made the following changes:
- ONCE THE PARKING IS FULL FOR 1st JUMAA, THE LOT WILL BE CLOSED!
- The second Jumaa at 2:30 pm will be in both Arabic and English to provide for accessibility.
- Here are the following main salawat locations in Kingston other than at the ICK that are available for everyone:
- Jumaa (same timings as the ICK) - KCVI near Queen's University, 235 Frontenac St. (entrance on Earl St.); has bus accessibility. Parking is on the street. Bring a prayer mat.
- Jumaa (1:30 pm) - Mercy Musalla at the Multifaith chapel near the Military Family Resource Centre. 33 Lundy's Lane, Kingston. Parking is available and there is a bus route through the area. Bring a prayer mat.
- People are highly encouraged to car pool.
- The following parking policy will be applied:
- There will be volunteers and occasionally paid people to control traffic on the property during key salawat and events.

Strive Eid Celebration Potluck and BBQ!

Assalamu Alaikum everyone! Eid Mubarak! STR!VE will be holding a Eid celebration this Sunday! Itll be a BBQ and potluck at the masjid on Sunday April 14 from 4-7pm! There are going to be games, snacks and of course the BBQ! Register in the link in the Isk youth Instagram bio (kingston_muslim_youth) and stop by! Cant wait to see everyone there InshaAllah

Have you registered for MCSquared this year? If you haven't, please note that the fee has been reduced to $10 for the remainder of the year; alternatively, there is a $2 drop in fee. The fees allow us to plan for programming.
Mission:
To provide children ages 7-11 (grades 2-6) an opportunity to come together, build strong Islamic identity and leadership skills and work towards establishing an environment of care and compassion for themselves and their peers.
Goals:
- Establish a genuine love for Islam and our community
- Promote a confident Canadian Islamic identity to with strong leadership skills

Give 30 Program

During these hard economic times we can all understand that money may not be able to be given. An alternative could be reaching into the cupboard and giving what we may already have.
In Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, The best charity is that given in Ramadan. (Bukhari and Muslim).
In another Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, Charity does not decrease wealth. (Bukhari). This hadith highlights the benefits of giving to others, even if it may seem difficult or sacrificial.
Our Prophet (peace be upon him) also said, "He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbour is hungry." (Bukhari).
We invite schools, community groups, businesses. and individuals to join the Give30 campaign this year. Be creative!
