Hate-Motivated Incident at ICC

As salaamu alaikum,
As you may have already heard, the Islamic Centre of Cambridge was a target of hate-motivated graffiti last week. This is the first time the centre has experienced any type of hate-motivated crime since opening in 1989.
We would like to reassure the community that the Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the incident, and have increased their presence in the area over the past week. The ICC building has a state-of-the-art security camera system in place, doors which are monitored with an automated locking system, and a secure fence that is closed and locked during the night time hours.
ISOC parents have been informed and updated about the incident, and reassured that there is no danger. The school door is kept locked, and is monitored at all times.
