Honour for ISOC    

This year three International School of Cambridge students won gold medals at the University of Waterloo Science Fair. One of the gold medalists, Grade 9 student Ayesha Abubakar, was given the opportunity to participate in the Canada Wide Science Fair in Ottawa. We are so honoured that Ayesha won a silver medal, competing with 400 other students from all over Canada. She also received a $4000 scholarship from a university in Ottawa. Mabrook!

Eid Bazaar    

There will be an Eid bazaar in the gymnasium tomorrow, Saturday June 1st, from 1:00pm to 10:00pm. There will be lots of goodies, rides for kids, gifts and more! Please visit with your family.
 

ICC Website Redesign
 

ICC is looking for someone in the community who could help redesign the ICC website. If you are qualified and interested, please see the office.

Arabic Teacher

ICC is looking for a male teacher who can teach Arabic language to adults. If you are interested, please visit the office.

ICC Summer Camp 2024
 

ICC has planned a fun and interactive 8 week summer camp for children aged 6-14. Each week campers will participate in exciting activities and workshops inspired by various themes. They will enjoy Islamic Studies lessons, arts & crafts, baking, treasure hunts, outdoor play, games, organized sports, and weekly field trips to exciting and fun destinations! *All field trips, workshops, and activities are included in the fees.

We offer state-of-the-art facilities, a full sized gymnasium with basketball courts, large soccer field, brand new playground, and plenty of parking! 

The Summer Camp will run for 8 weeks, July 2nd to August 23rd, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. You may register your child for 8 weeks or less. 

Register now to reserve your spot!! Only $75/week and $65/week for siblings! Discounts are available if you are registering for 4 or 8 weeks.

Please register online by Friday, June 25th. One form per child. Registration forms are also available here or at the ICC office. Completed forms can be emailed to [email protected].

After registration has been confirmed, fees can be paid online, at our office, or by e-transfer to [email protected] (please mention Summer Camp in the message box).

Emergency Aid For Gaza

Jazakum Allahu khairan to all community members who have donated to the Palestine Aid campaign. With your help, we were able to distribute meals, food items, and medical supplies to the people of Gaza.

Feed the Need Food Program 
 

Every month ICC distributes food to families in need in our community. Non-perishable groceries can be dropped off at the masjid all year round, and donations to this important program can be made by clicking the button below.

Ladies Elevator Project

ICC is raising funds for a new elevator project. The ICC does not have a functional elevator that reaches all three floors, especially the ladies' mezzanine, and it is a growing need for our community. Please donate generously!

Friday Night Family Halaqah
 

Join us every Friday after Maghrib for our Friday Night Family Halaqah! The Family Halaqah starts right after Maghrib prayer in Hall B, followed by refreshments and basketball in the gym.
 

Evening Qur'an Class

ICC Evening Qur'an Classes are held each weekday evening (Monday to Friday) from 5 to 6pm and 6 to 7pm. Registration forms can be picked up from the office or downloaded here.
 

Islamic Studies Sunday School 

Islamic Studies Sunday School registration is open all year round! Please call the ICC office to register.
 

Marriages and Funerals at ICC

The Islamic Centre of Cambridge facilitates both marriages and funerals for the community. Please see the office, or call 519-740-6855 ext. 327 for details. 

ICC Funeral Financial Support Services

ICC is now offering a full funeral financial support program. This program will help members of our community cover the high cost of funerals. 
Today, funeral costs between $6000-$7000, which can be very difficult for families to pay. The FFSS program allows the community to come together and help each other cover this cost. 
Please visit our website for forms, and full details on how the program works. Application packages are also available at the office.  
 

Parking Lot Safety

For everyone's safety, please carefully review the following guidelines for the parking lot area:

1. Do not block the masjid stairs, or the parking lot exit, when dropping off or picking up others from the masjid. Cars are not permitted to stop or park in front of the stairs.
2. If you need to drop off or pick up a child for evening Qur'an classes, kindly park in a designated parking spot and walk the child to and from the building.
3. Always look both ways and be vigilant while walking across the parking lot, especially while crossing the lane where cars exit.
4. Use extra caution when crossing the parking lot in bad weather conditions.
5. The speed limit in the parking lot is 15km. Please do not exceed this limit at any time. 
6.  Kindly report all unusual activity in the parking lot to masjid administration. This may include abandoned vehicles, excess trash, burned out lights, and missing or damaged signs.

Parking Lot and Fire Routes

Please observe the Fire Route regulations at all times while parking in the ICC parking lot. 
Also, kindly DO NOT park in spots designated for people with disabilities unless you are legally authorized to do so. The city may issue tickets for anyone not parked in a properly designated spot. 

Prayer Mats with Back Support 

There are special prayer mats with folding back support available at the ICC office for $35 each. The prayer mat folds in such a way that it can be used as a chair with back support. More detailed information is on display in the masjid lobby. Please visit the office during the weekdays to purchase a mat.
