Peace be upon you
Dear mp n
Family and Friends of the Islamic Center
As the blessed month of Ramadan dawns upon us, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to you and your loved ones. May this sacred time be filled with abundant blessings, spiritual enlightenment, and profound moments of reflection.
As we embark on this journey of fasting, prayer, and self-discipline, may Allah shower His mercy upon us, forgive our shortcomings, and guide us towards righteousness. May our hearts be purified, our souls uplifted, and our faith strengthened during this blessed month.
May each day of Ramadan bring us closer to Allah, deepen our connection with the Quran, and instill in us a sense of compassion and empathy towards others. May our prayers be answered, our deeds accepted, and our lives enriched with peace, happiness, and prosperity.
Let us seize this opportunity to renew our intentions, seek forgiveness for our past transgressions, and strive to become better versions of ourselves. May our fasting be sincere, our worship sincere, and our devotion unwavering.
As we gather with family and friends to break our fasts, let us remember those less fortunate and extend a helping hand to those in need. May our acts of charity and kindness illuminate the lives of others and bring joy to their hearts.
O Allah, accept our prayers, forgive our sins, and grant us the strength to make the most of this blessed month. May Ramadan be a source of blessings, guidance, and spiritual growth for all of us.
Wishing you and your family a blessed Ramadan filled with peace, joy, and countless blessings.
Ramadan Mubarak!

Ramadan 1445 AH:
The Astronomical New Moon is on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 9:00 Universal Time. On that day, the elongation is more than 8 degrees and moon is more than 5 degrees above the sun everywhere in North America. Hence, the first day of Ramadan will be on Monday, March 11, 2024, inshaAllah.
Eidul-Fitr 1445 AH:
The Astronomical New Moon is on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 18:21 Universal Time. On April 8, there is no place on earth where at sunset the elongation is 8 degrees and moon is 5 degrees above the sun. Hence the first day of Shawwal will be on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, insha'Allah.
In regards to these blessed occasions, we are reminded to keep in mind that there are allowances for valid scholarly difference of opinion in determining the beginning and end of the auspicious Month of Ramadan. Mutual respect and humility are pillars of the requirement for unity as we collectively strive to please our Creator in all aspects of our lives.
We encourage every organization and individual to follow that which is most unifying for the community, including consultation with religious leadership. More specific Ramadan guidance, including reminders and recommendations, can be found in the upcoming weeks on our website.
May Allah keep us on the straight path, facilitate us to have a blessed and joyous Ramadan, and accept our devotional acts solely for His sake, Ameen.

COMMUNITY EVENTS/NEWS
Here is a big event that I (Sami Haq) am organizing, on behalf of the CSUN MSA. We are doing this event with the intention of supporting young Muslim adults that are looking to find their other half, in a HALAL manner. This is in an effort to protect our community from the fitnah of zina. As I mentioned in our last meeting, this is a significant issue and InshaAllah CSUN MSA has taken a step in the right direction. I request you all to share this flyer with your respective families and friends.
We would like to share with you the article published by Sami Haq, from 2022 when he was the President off the Islamic Cultural Society of College of the Canyons. This article is being published on social media other news outlets.
