Eid Mubarak! Eid Salah Timings!
Among all the auspicious days of worship are the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah , which Allah (swt) has preferred over all the other days of the year.
Ibn 'Abbas (r) reported that the Prophet (s) said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days." (Bukhari).
It is Sunnah to fast on the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah, because fasting is one of the best of deeds.Â
If you are unable to fast for the whole nine days, try to fast on just the Day of Arafah, the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. Just as Laylat al Qadr is the most blessed night of the year, Arafah is the most blessed day of the year. The Prophet (saw) said, There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than on the day of Arafah. (Muslim)

Bimillhir Rahmnir Rahm
We have been extremely blessed by Allah Tal in being able to witness these blessed days. Allah Tal takes an oath on these very days in the Noble Qurn. There are no days wherein righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah Tal. It is nothing short of a golden opportunity! One of the reasons for the excellence of these days is that all the main acts of worship are carried out therein, including Hajj and charity (in the form of sacrificing an animal).
From amongst the lessons to take from these two acts of worship is the great lesson of submission.Â
Ardent believers and lovers of Allah Tal manifest their servitude by spending large amounts of money, donning simple clothing not usually worn, fulfilling the rites commanded by their master, and abstaining from all that which he has prohibited. It is proof of the ability of mankind to submit and sacrifice for the sake of their beloved master, Allah Tal. A spectacle that draws the hearts of all the believers from across the globe, as the non-Muslims look on with astonishment.Â
Similarly, the act of sacrificing an animal commemorates the unparalleled submission and sacrifice of, Ibrhm and Isml (Alayhimas Salm), in their obedience to Allah Tals command.
At the very least, these acts should revive within us the spirit of sacrificing our unlawful desires and whims out of submission to Allah Tal, irrespective of whether we comprehend the wisdoms behind His commands.Â
May Allah Tal allow us to fully benefit from these coming blessed days!
