Raman is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the decisive authority. So whoever is present this month, let them fast. But whoever is ill or on a journey, then let them fast an equal number of days after Raman. Allah intends ease for you, not hardship, so that you may complete the prescribed period and proclaim the greatness of Allah for guiding you, and perhaps you will be grateful.

Words of Wisdom
Alhamdulilah, we started Ramadan a few days ago. We ask Allah to make Ramadan a means for us to increase in Taqwa, sincerity, love of Islam, and love and compassion for our brothers and sisters. I encourage myself and everyone to evaluate what is truly important in life. If we are honest with ourselves, we will realize that the most important thing is to please Allah. Sometimes, people can get distracted and lose sight of that goal. Still, Alhamdulilah, through Ramadan and increasing in salah, recitation of the Quran, fasting, sadaqah/zakah, dua, repentance, and helping others, Allah is allowing us to come back to Him. We pray to Allah that He returns us to Him with a beautiful return.
Another special request is that Alhamdulilah, many people from the board, operations teams, Imams, parking, security, Iftar, planning teams, other volunteers, and community members have put in a lot of time, effort, and resources in preparing the facilities and community to have a memorable and blessed Ramadan experience. May Allah accept from everyone. Please make dua for them and help them by following their directions and guidance so we can all have a successful Ramadan. We pray that Allah accepts from all of us and makes us among those who are entered into jannatul firdaws and freed from the fire of hell. Ameen
Hadeeth of the Day
Abu Hurairah narrated that: the Messenger of Allah said: "On the first night of the month of Ramadan, the Shayatin are shackled, the jinns are restrained, the gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among them would be opened. The gates of Paradise are opened such that no gate among them would be closed, and a caller calls: 'O seeker of the good; come near!' and 'O seeker of evil; stop! For there are those whom Allah frees from the Fire.' And that is every night. Al-Tirmidhi

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah () said:
When the first night of Ramadan comes, the satans and mischievous jinns are chained up, and the gates of the Fire are closed, and none of its gates are opened. The gates of Paradise are opened, and none of its gates are closed. And a caller cries out: 'O seeker of good, proceed, O seeker of evil, stop.' And Allah has necks (people) whom He frees (from the Fire), and that happens every day. - Ibn Majah
Message from Shakyh Rizwan:
Alhamdulillah, Ramadan is a great blessing and opportunity to come closer to Allah and closer to each other. I encourage myself and everyone to focus their attention on prayer, fasting, recitation of the Quran, and sadaqah. While doing all this, the question and focus should be whether Allah will accept this from me. If we are sincere, follow the Sunnah, and do things in ways that are pleasing to Allah, we should have the best hope and expectations from Allah. I pray to Allah he makes us among those that are freed from the fire of hell and entered into jannatul Firdaws during Ramadan. Ameen.

This spring break , join us for our special 3-day Spring Ramadan camp: "Journey through the Quran" for kids age 5-14 years.

Alhamdulillah, Tahfeedh-ul Qur'an program will be continuing with an Evening Program, for ages 6+ in sha ALLAH, from Tuesday, Sep 5, 2023 and will run through May 23, 2024.
Classes will be held at ICN Ogden masjid between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Thursday (boys & girls classes & days are separate).

We are looking for a dedicated and qualified volunteer to lead this Human Capital Development (HCD) sub-committee. This requires a commitment of 4 to 6 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
