Words of Wisdom
The past week, we have seen extremely cold and frigid temperatures. We ask Allah to keep everyone safe and warm. During these times, we must help each other, especially those who are elderly or may need additional help and support. Shovel your neighbor's driveway, clean cars, and check in on each other. This may be a difficult situation, but it can also be an opportunity and means for us to come closer to Allah and closer to each other. May Allah make us all sources of good for our community and Ummah in this dunya and the aakhirah and May He accept from us all. Ameen.
Hadeeth of the Day
Narrated Abu Dhar:
I asked the Prophet, "What is the best deed?" He replied, "To believe in Allah and to strive for His Cause." I then asked, "What is the best kind of manumission (of slaves)?" He replied, "The manumission of the most expensive slave and the most beloved by his master." I said, "If I cannot afford to do that?" He said, "Help the weak or do good for someone who cannot work for himself." I said, "If I cannot do that?" He said, "Refrain from harming others for this will be regarded as a charitable deed for your own good." Al-Bukhari

Additionally, the Board is focusing its efforts on our strategic objectives for 2024, with a particular emphasis on the financial aspects and the completion of our new Masjid Al Nur (248) and the relocation of our ICN Noor Academy to Bond Street. You will see in the near future that the temporary trailer will be removed from Ogden, and we will be providing a detailed moving plan for ICN Noor Academy as soon as we have a final move in date from the contractor and City of Naperville.
The ICN Board, along with all Committee Chairs, Leads, and Volunteers, are putting in tremendous efforts to continue to provide the best services and programs for our community. We strongly encourage you to please sign up as volunteers and join us in making a positive impact on our community. Together, we can create meaningful change, contribute, and work hand in hand to achieve our shared goals.

Alhumdolillah, in keeping with our mission and vision, ICN SHIFA Clinic Team is happy to announce the addition of yet another free service to our clinic, SHIFA OPTOMETRY. Alhamdulillah, Tahfeedh-ul Qur'an program will be continuing with an Evening Program, for ages 6+ in sha ALLAH, from Tuesday, Sep 5, 2023 and will run through May 23, 2024.
Classes will be held at ICN Ogden masjid between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Thursday (boys & girls classes & days are separate).

We are looking for a dedicated and qualified volunteer to lead this Human Capital Development (HCD) sub-committee. This requires a commitment of 4 to 6 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
