Words of Wisdom
Many historians are of the opinion that Isra and Miraj took place in the month of Rajab. Although this has been disputed by some scholars, what is more important is to remember that both the miraculous journey of the Prophet from Masjid Al-Haram to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa and the ascension of the Prophet to the heavens is something which is proven in the Quran and Sunnah. Some people try to doubt the reality of these events, but it is very clear that these events took place and were a means to comfort and strengthen the resolve of the Prophet and the Muslims. The Prophet was also gifted with Salah, which is the greatest weapon a believer has because it keeps us connected to the All-Powerful, the All-Knowledgeable and the All-Wise. We should take time to reflect and appreciate on this incident and blessings Allah has given us.
Hadeeth of the Day
Malik ibn Sa'sa'ah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, told them about his Night Journey, saying, We ascended until we reached the second heaven where Gabriel asked for the gate to be opened, but it was said: Who is it? Gabriel said: I am Gabriel. It was said: Who is with you? Gabriel said: It is Muhammad. It was said: Has he been called? Gabriel said yes. When we reached beyond the second heaven, I saw John and Jesus who are cousins. Gabriel said: These are John and Jesus, so greet them with peace. I greeted them with peace and they returned my greeting, saying: Welcome, O righteous brother and prophet.

Alhamdulillah, Tahfeedh-ul Qur'an program will be continuing with an Evening Program, for ages 6+ in sha ALLAH, from Tuesday, Sep 5, 2023 and will run through May 23, 2024.
Classes will be held at ICN Ogden masjid between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Thursday (boys & girls classes & days are separate).

We are looking for a dedicated and qualified volunteer to lead this Human Capital Development (HCD) sub-committee. This requires a commitment of 4 to 6 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
