Words of Wisdom

Ramadan is the month of the Quran. The Prophet used to increase the recitation of the Quran during this month. Alhumdulilah, Muslims around the world pray Tarawih in the month of Ramadan. In addition to Tarawih, each Muslim should use the month of Ramadan to reevaluate his relationship with the Quran. We must commit to making the Quran an integral part of our lives. As mentioned in the ayah, the Quran guides towards the best. If we make the Quran part of our lives, Allah will guide us toward the best decisions. May Allah make us all among the people of the Quran. Ameen.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Ibn' Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

The Messenger of Allah () was the most generous of the men, and he was the most generous during the month of Ramadan when Jibril visited him every night and recited the Qur'an to him. During this period, the generosity of the Messenger of Allah () expanded faster than the rain-bearing wind.

MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD

For 75th St and Ogden Masajid Attendees:

Carpool to Masajids whenever you can!
When you are on the ICN premises, please abide by the directions given by the Security and Parking team volunteers.
If you double park, PLEASE move your vehicle right after the Jummah Salah (NO SUNNAH PRAYERS) or 8 rakahs of Taraweeh.
Any parking off of ICN property has a potential for towing. Park at your own risk.

Specific for Ogden Masjid Attendees:

Parking at the FCA and Outback Steakhouse are strictly prohibited. If you do, these companies will tow your automobile, and you will be held entirely accountable. (Minimum $220 fee)
Please DO NOT enter the Ogden Masjid parking lot through the FCA driveway. This is causing a significant backup.
When parking in the Ogden parking spaces, do not reverse your vehicles to park.
Ogden will be closed for prayers as soon as the Gym is full.

ICN has recently created the Human Capital Development sub-committee. One of its core mandate is human capital development of ICNs volunteers & staff. We are looking for a dedicated and qualified volunteer to lead this Human Capital Development (HCD) sub-committee. This requires a commitment of 4 to 6 hours per week on an ongoing basis. We invite candidates with minimum 3 years of HR or HC experience and proven ability to lead a small team (mostly volunteers) to apply.
