Raman is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the decisive authority. So whoever is present this month, let them fast. But whoever is ill or on a journey, then let them fast an equal number of days after Raman. Allah intends ease for you, not hardship, so that you may complete the prescribed period and proclaim the greatness of Allah for guiding you, and perhaps you will be grateful.

Dear ICN Family,
Eid Mubarak
May Allah accept all of our righteous actions.
I am overwhelmed with gratitude and shukr, first and foremost to Allah and then to ALL of you. Alhamdulilah, think about all of the great things we have been able to do as a community this Ramadan. It would have been challenging to do it in one center, but Alhamdulilah, with the help of Allah and then with the help and support of ALL of you, we were able to do it at all 3 locations. Alhamdulilah, Alhamdulilah, Alhamdulilah. Religious services, youth programs, fundraising, operations, parking, security, Iftar, cleaning, communications, Eid planning, live streaming, and so much more, may Allah accept from everyone. Special thanks and Jazakum Allahu Khayran to our Shuyukh especially Sh.Omar Hedroug and our youth coordinator, Sr. Zakiya Ahmed.
I want to end this message with four requests:
1. Please say Alhamdulilah and thank Allah for blessing our community.
2. Please forgive me and everyone for any shortcomings. Wallahi, even though we tried our best, we know there are shortcomings, and we ask Allah for forgiveness. We ask you to forgive us as well.
3. Make dua that Allah keeps our community united and continuously collaboratively working towards His pleasure and the betterment of our community.
Hadeeth of the Day
Abu Ayub narrated that :
the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever fasts Ramadan, then follows it with six from Shawwal, then that is (equal in reward) to fasting everyday." Al-Tirmidhi

MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
As-Salamu Alaykum ICN Family!
We pray that you are taking time to celebrate Eid with your friends and family members. May Allah accept your Ramadan prayers, fasting, sacrifices, volunteering, and donations. As you celebrate Eid, please keep all ICN families, and especially our brothers, sisters, and children in Gaza, and other less fortunate Muslim countries in your prayers, Insha'Allah.
Alhamdulillah Ramadan 2024 was a huge success for ICN at all three of our facilities, Olesen, 75th and Ogden. Having visited all three facilities during Ramadan, it's remarkable to see the continued growth of our ICN Community. We witnessed Olesen completely full, 75th completely full, and many days where Ogden was overflowing with worshipers in the Men's Prayer Hall, Women's Prayer Hall, West Wing, all Classrooms, Gymnasium, and Temporary Tent. There were days where we had to spread a tarp outside the tent, which was also full, Alhamdulillah!
What does the continued growth of our community and overflow of our existing facilities tell us? It tells us we need our First Ground Up Masjid more and more. As we noted in many of our Ramadan fundraising activities, the 248 Masjid Project is moving forward full speed. Alhamdulillah and as usual, our community rose to the challenge and donated towards the 248 Masjid project so we can keep construction moving with no construction delays due to lack of funds. We want to take this opportunity to first thank Allah for blessing us with such a beautiful, caring, and generous community. We want to thank our community members, our Fundraising Committee, the many volunteers, and your Board Members who worked so hard and donated so much during all the fundraisers we had during Ramadan. Alhamdulillah, this Ramadan we did fundraising for 248, 75th, Operations, Zakat, Ramadan Expenses, and other needs. Thank you all, once again, for your generosity. For those who have yet to donate, or want to increase your donations, please don't hesitate you may go online to the ICN website and donate to your favourite ICN need.
EID 2024 was also a huge success at ICN. Allah blessed us with a great community, full of great volunteers. Our Events and Dinner Committee took the lead on our Eid prayers and celebration planning. A big shout out to Anees Shaik, Nadia Shakil and Shafeek Abubaker, who led the efforts, along with Ebrahim Ismail, Sajid Chhotani, our Operations Committee, and many other volunteers who made our Eid Prayers a huge success. Alhamdulillah, we had a total of 7 prayer services, one at 75th, two at Ogden and 4 at Bobak's Signature Events. A big thank you to Sh. Rizwan, who coordinated each Eid prayer:

Above all we thank Allah for everything positive that happened during Ramadan this year and we ask for his continued blessing upon the ICN community to unite us and guide us on the right path.

Alhamdulillah, Tahfeedh-ul Qur'an program will be continuing with an Evening Program, for ages 6+ in sha ALLAH, from Tuesday, Sep 5, 2023 and will run through May 23, 2024.
Classes will be held at ICN Ogden masjid between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Thursday (boys & girls classes & days are separate).

ICN has recently created the Human Capital Development sub-committee. One of its core mandate is human capital development of ICN's volunteers & staff. We are looking for a dedicated and qualified volunteer to lead this Human Capital Development (HCD) sub-committee. This requires a commitment of 4 to 6 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
