Assalamu alaikum ICN Community,

The ICN Board would like to announce the resignation of Br.Shafeek Abubaker from the ICN Board of Directors effective Eid ul Fitr

April 10th , 2024.

Br.Shafeek made the decision to step down because he believes this is best for the unity of the ICN community, and it also allows him to concentrate on the many other community activities he's involved in and speaks volumes to the selfless nature of his service.

Br.Shafeek has been a dedicated volunteer serving the ICN community for over 17years. During this time, he has served on the ICN Board of Directors multiple times. Br.Shafeek has made significant contributions to ICN over the years, including work with MUHSEN, Toastmasters, Gavel Club, Cub Scouts, and the Civic Engagement Committee. He has also volunteered at organizations outside of ICN such as CIOGC and others.

Although Br.Shafeek is stepping down from the Board of Directors at ICN, he will continue to offer his support and guidance to ICN in whatever capacity he can provide.

In line with the process laid out in the ICN bylaws, the Board of Directors has initiated the process to find a replacement. We will keep the community updated on our progress in sha Allah.

We wish Br.Shafeek and his family all the best for their future and encourage our community to keep him and his family in their duas.
