As Salaamu Alaykum,

Due to the severe weather and unsafe driving/traveling conditions, I would like to share with you that you are not obligated to come to the jum'uah prayer if you have any worries about traveling. The jum'uah prayer will still be held at the masjid today, but there will be a minor adjustment due to the weather: The khutbah (speech) will begin at 1:45 PM and the prayer will begin around 1:50 PM. Anyone who worries about traveling in this weather, please know that it is a very valid concern and therefore, there is no sin upon someone for not attending the jum'uah prayer today, in sha Allah. Anyone who chooses to stay home would have to pray dhur prayer in its place, like any other day of the week.

If you like to look at road conditions before traveling, you can do so here: https://wv511.org/
All you have to do is zoom in to where you live and you can click the camera icon to see the live footage of the roads.

Additionally, The Iqra Educational Foundation event is still scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, December 20th, as planned. You should have received a previous email about this before. This is a very important event for establishing a full-time school, so all brothers and sisters are requested to attend this event, of course, if you are able to travel.

Please remember to stay safe and warm. Anything can happen when traveling in severe weather like this. We thank Allah Almighty for giving us this leniency and telling us how He wants ease for us and not hardship! Alhumdulillah.
