We hope that you all are well and are staying cool in this crazy heat! This week, readers will find many activities hosted by various ICJC committees; women's, youth, girl scouts and toddlers/kids club. Sunday School
The ICJC Sunday School is an educational institution that provides a comprehensive education with a focus on Islamic teachings and values. Our 3 main focuses are Quran, Islamic Studies, and Seerah ( Life of the Prophet Muhammad ).
Enrollment Open
Quran School
We provide a full Quran School for Adults and Children for Quran reading and memorization. We currently have around to 100 students enrolled in 20 different groups taught by 3 teachers. Class sizes vary depending on the group level. As of 2020, we have 18 Hafiz graduates (15 children and 3 adults) with many more in various stages of their journey to become Hafiz Ul Quran.
Robotics Team
FIRST LEGO League guides youth through STEM learning and exploration at an early age. In FIRST LEGO League Challenge, students will understand the basics of STEM and apply their skills in an exciting competition while building habits of learning, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way.
ICJC Mavericks participated in the Kansas City Qualifiers on Saturday December 3rd 2022.
Team also advanced to the Greater Kansas City Regional Competition.

Coding Class
The goal of this program is to make the children in the ICJC community more comfortable with coding.
- The Juniors Course (Grades 1- 4) Teach children basic programming concepts utilizing Scratch, a popular high-level block-based visual programming language. This course intends to introduce younger children to coding in a fun, engaging manner and to engender excitement about coding.
- The Seniors Course ( Grades 5- 8)
use Python-based modules. Python is a high-level, general-purpose programming language which is simple to learn and very widely used. Children in this course will be introduced to concepts such as data types, conditionals and loops, functions and pseudo code, object oriented programming, recursion, and moving robots using code.

Girl Scouts
ICJC Girl Scouts is a community organization associated with Girl Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri that provides an inclusive and empowering space for young Muslim girls to develop leadership skills, foster sisterhood, and engage in meaningful activities. Inspired by the values and teachings of Islam, ICJC Girl Scouts aims to create an environment where girls can explore their faith, build character, and contribute positively to their communities.
Boy Scouts
ICJC Boy Scouts is associated with BSA, providing guidance, character development and constructive activities to the youth under the ambit of Islam. This program provides opportunities to learn diverse skills, build personality, confidence and leadership qualities in youth and to develop positive Muslim American identity. Besides, this program brings youth to Masjid, lets them know and build friendships with other youth in community and engage in faith related activities.
Sprouts Club
A club for kids between the ages of 3 and 12 years. The club provides the opportunity for kids to form friendships, learn and serve the community through activities and events in a fun-filled nurturing environment.
Womens Committee
The ICJC Womens Committee was created to meet the social and spiritual needs of our growing community. Our focus is to provide workshops for the community and assist with the functioning and programming at ICJC. Our goal is empowering, educating and helping one another through faith based initiatives.
Youth Committee
ICJC youth department exists to:
- Connect our youth to our deen, masjid and to their peers.
- Build their Muslim American identity and purpose with holistic teachings from Quran and Sunnah.
- Provide recreational activities for team building.
- Develop leadership skills.
- Inspire our youth for community service.
