Important Information and Recommendations for Eid

Dear Community Members,

As we eagerly anticipate the joyous occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, we would like to share important reminders and recommendations to ensure a smooth and blessed celebration for everyone. Today, we will mark the end of Ramadan with three Eid prayers, and your participation is warmly welcomed. Please note the following key points:

  1. Eid Prayers Registration: Registration is required for all Eid prayers. The ICJC Lot is fully booked for all three prayers, but spots are still available at the Church lot. Secure your spot by registering at icjc.org/eid.

    1. Parking will open at Fajr for 1st Prayer, Iqama is at 7am

    2. Parking will open at 7:40am for 2nd Prayer, Iqama is at 8am

    3. Parking will open at 9am for 3rd Prayer, Iqama is at 9:30am

  2. Prayer Etiquette: Kindly bring your own prayer rug and a bag to store your shoes.

  3. Takbeerat Timing: Takbeerat will commence at 6:30 AM (after Fajr), 7:45 AM, and 9:15 AM.

  4. Zakat ul-Fitr: Zakat ul-Fitr is obligatory and set at $15 per person. Please ensure this is paid prior to Eid to fulfill this important aspect of worship. icjc.org/donate

  5. Safety Measures: We kindly request parents to educate their children on what to do in case they get lost. Our dedicated volunteers will be onsite wearing vests to assist anyone in need.

  6. Parking Instructions: Park only in designated areas to avoid inconvenience. Cars parked illegally will be subject to ticketing and towing.

  7. Departure Protocol: To accommodate all attendees, we ask that you promptly depart from the ICJC premises after completing your prayer.

  8. Personal Items: Please do not bring any backpacks, bags, or strollers. You will be stopped at the door.

  9. Banquet Hall: Banquet Hall is available for families with kids to pray and not worry about interrupting the Imam or others. A partition has been set up to allow Sisters and Brother to pray with their kids.

Additionally, here are five practices to observe on Eid, based on authentic Hadiths:

  1. No Fasting on Eid - Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1137

  2. Eat Something after Fajr - Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith 953

  3. Attend Eid Congregation - Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith 971

  4. Recite Takbeerat - Surah Al-Baqarah, Aya 185

  5. Return from via a Different Route - Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith 986

Let us come together as a community to celebrate this blessed occasion with joy, gratitude, and unity. We look forward to seeing you all Today morning for the Eid prayers.

Warm regards,

ICJC Eid Management
