New Burial Process!
Assalaamu aleykum Dear ICGC Community Members,
We hope this message finds you in good health and in plenty of blessings from Allah!. We are writing to inform you about an important update regarding our burial process, effective immediately.
After hearing from several members of our community express their desire to lay their loved ones to rest in direct contact with the ground and after multiple meetings with the cemetery and funeral home directions, we have reached the desired outcome to implement a new burial process aimed at ensuring the highest level of respect and dignity for our departed loved ones. With this process, community members can lay their loved ones to rest without a casket. This decision comes as part of our ongoing commitment to attend to the needs and respect the values of our community while also prioritizing safety.
Key changes in the new burial process include:

No Casket: We have secured a agreement with both Crown Hill Cemetery and Mueller Funeral Home that meets all necessary requirements for burial without a casket to attend to the wishes of our community members for their departed loved ones.

Updated Procedures: Updated procedures have been put in place to streamline the burial process while maintaining dignity and respect for the deceased.These procedures have been updated on the ICGC website (click here to access the website).
