Important Message to the Community Regarding Safety at ICGC!
Need Everyone's Help!
The Islamic Center is first and foremost a place of worship. And our priority is to ensure the safety of our community.
Despite on-site security personnel and community volunteers, there have been multiple violations of state law and safety protocols with incidents involving the police, all of which jeopardizes our safety.
There have also been conduct and behavior that are in violation of our basic Islamic principles.
Despite messaging and direct requests from leaders and volunteers, the violations have continued.

We need parents to be responsible for their kids. Do not leave them roaming around

Vaping is not acceptable in the masjid and around the masjid. There have been incidents with kids getting into class rooms, hiding and vaping

Gun threats, even fake threats are not acceptable

Boys and girls walking around together specially behind the gym is not safe for the kids and not appropriate.

We talk and preach about manners in the masjid, It is important to apply these also outside the masjid.

Maintaining the infrastructure of the facility is also a priority.

Food and drinks are not allowed in the prayer space, yet this is being blatantly ignored, leading to litter and destruction of the carpeting.

Violence and threats of any kind will not be tolerated.
Our security team is overwhelmed and concerned about the safety of the community.
Therefore in an effort to realign our purpose and protect our community, we will pause the tea tent until further notice, we will revisit the decision in couple of days InShaAllah.
We love our children. Alhamdulillah, the majority are doing amazing things, and we want them to enjoy all facets of the month of Ramadan. It’s a shame that, because of the behavior of a few, we have to take such strong measures.
