Thank you for your support, and for being an exemplary member of our vibrant community.
As the calendar year draws to a close, please join us in thanking Allah for enabling us to thrive as a vibrant community despite the various challenges at home and the emotional toll stemming from humanitarian crises overseas. We continue to pray for an end to conflicts, and for peace to prevail all around the world.
This year perhaps more than ever in recent times, we witnessed numerous humanitarian catastrophes all around the world. We are extremely grateful to our community for stepping up to the challenge and donating generously to the several causes this year- earthquakes, floods, wars, refugees at home and abroad, and, accidents, fire and supporting needy families right here in the Greater Lansing area. Jazakumullahu Khairan all of you for your generous donations- it reached the people who needed it most.
Earlier this year we also commenced the project to buildout the Community Center in the lower level of our building. Alhamdulilah, this project is progressing very well. Again, this was made possible with your donations and also by a group of brothers and sisters lending (interest free) money (to be paid back over 5 years) towards completion of this project.
All the above needs translated into increased giving by our community members to the aforementioned charitable causes, but our Masjid Operations funding lost some attention in the process. Our services nevertheless continued as ever before under the leadership of Imam Sohail Chaudhry, and served by the elected office bearers and numerous volunteers. Thank you to all of them.
As for claiming the reward noted in the subject of this email, we pray to Allah to reward all our donors and well-wishers.
