Salam Alaikum All,

May Allah accept our ibadah in this blessed month. Here're a few IMPORTANT announcementsfor this week.

The last days of Ramadan:

'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to strive more in worship during Ramadan than he strove in any other time of the year; and he would devote himself more (in the worship of Allah) in the last ten nights of Ramadan than he strove in earlier part of the month.
[Muslim].

Also By Aishah RA: I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?" He (PBUH) replied, "You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun, tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me)."
[At-Tirmidhi].

Since there will be no Tarawih prayer on Tuesday, April 9, the BoT has decided to use the 30-60 minutes after Isha prayer to hold the General Assembly meeting. Well use the forum to present the annual report of the executive committees to the community and answer any questions they may have.

ICOB Elections

Nominate yourself or someone here: https://www.icob.org/elections

_FAQ (please read especially if you're new):
_

_
Q: I don't know who to nominate.
A: There is a list of people who have already graciously indicated they are willing to be nominated which you can see at icob.org/elections. You may refer to that list and nominate one of those people.

Q: Can I nominate someone who is not on that list?
A: Yes. You can write in anyone's name. You have to know their whole name and contact info. But most importantly, you cannot Nominate yourself.

Q: I'm moving away, so this isn't for me. Right?
A: No, you should still fill out the nomination form. You are helping to leave Bloomington in a better place by nominating someone you think would be good for a position.

Q: I know maybe one or two people to nominate but I still have to think of others.
A: You can fill out the nomination form as many times as you want, as long as you aren't nominating the same person twice for the same position. So fill out the form now, and you can add more nominations later iA.

Q: What's this business of voter registration on the nomination form?
A: Don't worry about that. Just pick one of the options and continue. None of the options will make any difference for you. The question being on the form is a formality. You may ask me personally about it if you wish for more information.

Q: When is the election?
A: Saturday, April 13th during the eid picnic. However, nominations are due Sunday April 7th, so don't delay to fill out the form!

Q: I'm a student, so I feel more like a guest or observer to this masjid, and so I don't think I need to mess with these matters.
A: False. Students make up the vast majority of the Muslim community in Bloomington. The absolute least you can do is take a couple minutes to fill out a nomination form. It is tremendously helpful.

Q: Can I fill out a paper form instead of the online form?
A: Yes. The paper forms are sitting in a stack in the upstairs lobby or on a bench in the upstairs musallah near the entrance and also on a bench in the sisters Musalla. Put the form in the clear box nexttotheforms._
