As Salaamu Alaykum Masjid plus
Alhamdulillah. Islamic Center of Alameda, Youth committee invites youth (10 and above years) to join Youth Iftar and program prior to it including basketball in Maya Lin School playground from 5:30pm to Iftar.
The pilgrimage is 22 miles in total, beginning at 7:00 am in Berkeley and ending at 7:00 p.m. in Alameda.
The 22 miles will be broken into 6 segments with Alameda being the final 2.5 miles. The route in Alameda will begin at Buena Vista UMC (2311 Buena Vista Ave.), go past Twin Towers UMC (corner of Oak and Central), continue down Central past First Congregational Church (Central and Chestnut) then continue on to Santa Clara and end at the Islamic Center of Alameda. We currently are planning for our leg to begin at 5:45 pm though there may people starting slightly earlier and slightly later.
Pilgrims can choose to do 1, 2, or all 6 segments.
