SELF DISCOVERY THROUGH FAITH
NYC SHi'A COMMUNITY CONFERENCE

SATURDAY | 10 AM - 5 PM
GCASL Building, Grand Hall, 5th Fl. and 4th Floor
Glory be to You! We have no knowledge except what You have taught us. You are truly the All-Knowing, All-Wise.
--Surah Al Baqara, Ayah 32
We are thrilled to invite you to join us at the Islamic Center at NYU for our second annual religious literacy conference in collaboration with ABSA Network and The Sacred Door
During this year's conference, we will be focusing on "Building & Becoming," and understanding self-discovery through the lens of our religious tradition. We will be unpacking how to "Build" and "Become," through the vehicles of Reflection, Purpose, Adalah, and Knowledge. This is part of our larger mission to guide students on how to increase their own religious literacy and strive to navigate life through an Islamic framework.
The conference will feature esteemed scholars from across the country, who will share their insights on the journey of self-discovery through faith. I believe it will be highly beneficial, particularly for young professionals and students seeking inspiration and guidance in their personal and spiritual development. It will take place all day on Saturday, January 20th, and if you are around we will also be doing a Friday night halaqa with Dr. Sheikh Faiyaz Jaffer + social on the 19th.
Attendees are encouraged to fill out this registration form and will be contacted to purchase a $20 ticket. Tickets are free for New York University students, and those who are unable to pay a ticket fee can reach out in order to get financial assistance.

How do you know God sent them?
Were told our whole lives, Obey Allah and His Messenger (). We were always taught that he () is the best example, the greatest of creation. But then you go to college, work, and other environments where your faith is put to the test, and the questions start piling in:
I heard your Prophet said this
I heard your religion says that
How do you know Muhammad didnt write the Quran?
Even if you ignore it, Shaytan will let those whispers linger and stir doubt.
So how do you prove to yourself that all of it is true, and that the one who brought it to you was really sent by your Creator?
Thats what were exploring in this brand new seminar with Shaykh Mohammed Elshinawy.
RSVP today by hitting the button below and receive a special ICNYU 50% discount! Limited time only!
