as'salaamu alaykum and jummah Mubarak,

I hope you all are having a blessed Friday and keeping well inshallah.  Below is a list of du'aa requests from members of our community.  Please do keep them and each other in your prayers on this blessed day of Jummah if you can.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned the day of Friday and said, In it is an hour in which no Muslim stands to pray and ask Allah for something but that he will be given it, and he indicated with his hand that the time is very short. Anticipate that time by immersing your moments on this day of Jummah with du'aa for yourselves, for others, and for all those listed below.  May Allah accept from all of us.  Ameen.

If there are du'aa requests that you would like to have considered for inclusion in this weekly email, please fill out this form by Thursday evening.

With the blessed first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah upon us, the IC is running two charity campaigns as we do every year. On this blessed day of Jummah, please consider supporting each one and sharing with others to encourage their support as well.

  1. ICNYU Global Udhiya/Qurbani campaign at https://launchgood.com/ICNYUqurbani2024 with Islamic Relief USA that allows you to choose which country in the world you would like to have your Udhiya/Qurbani to be performed and distirbuted in.

  2. Khairgiver 9th Annual Eid Toy Drive for hospitalized children in conjunction with HEAL Palestine & the Sudanese American Physicians' Association at https://www.khairgiver.com/eidtoydrive2024

DU'AA REQUESTS: PRAYERS FOR NEWBORN

  • Ihsan and Fatyma Dia Saleem, members of our community, welcomed a beautiful newborn son named Yaqeen into their family.

May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala bless our baby brother Yaqeen and his parents Ihsan and Fatyma. May He make him a blessing for his family, his loved ones and all those he meets. May He protect him from the trials and tribulations of this world and make him amongst those who are given paradise without any judgment in the next. May he be thankful and gracious, patient and wise,  honest and trustworthy, generous and compassionate. May He instill within him a love for that which He loves, and keep him from that which He does not love. May He raise him with care and mercy and make us all amongst those that young Rizwan counts amongst his blessings. May He grant the gift of a child to all those who are seeking it and may He guide and bless us all.  Ameen. Ameen ya Rabbal 'aalameen.

DU'AA REQUESTS: PRAYERS FOR DECEASED

May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala forgive our brothers and sisters for any of their shortcomings and mistakes of this world.  May He grant them peace in the grave, expanding it for them and protecting them from its trials and tribulations. May He raise them amongst those who are righteous, those who are patient, those who are truthful, and those who believe.  May He grant them shade on that day when there is no shade but that of His throne.  May He grant them entrance into jannah without any judgement.  May they dwell therein in the company of all those whom they love and the company of His most beloved, salallahu 'alayhi was'salaam, and may He guide and bless us all.  Ameen. Ameen ya rabbal 'aalameen.
