Join us this Sunday for a Spiritual Seclusion with Dr. Marwa Assar and Sam McCausland
Spiritual Seclusion: Sunday, June 23rd
Salam everyone and Eid Mubarak!
The Islamic Center at NYU is excited to host a Spiritual Seclusion with the H.O.M.E Institute this upcoming Sunday, June 23rd with Dr. Marwa Assar and Ustadh Sam McCausland.
Solitude and seclusion has been instrumental in detaching from this dunya and reaffirming our connection to the divine since the Prophet () peace and blessings be upon him, first received revelation in the cave of Hira.
We seek now to create a space within our community to collectively exercise intentional solitudesomething that can feel like a difficult task in the cacophony of the city.
Our convening will take place, insha' Allah, at Nethermead Lawn in Prospect Park. Well meet at 10am. The program will consist of a brief talk with Dr.Marwa and Sam McCausland before we break out individually to reflect, reconvene to discuss, then break out again, before coming back to share and pray Zuhr in congregation
We have alot of events this week so please make sure to RSVP.
You can also follow us on Instagram and Facebook for up to date information.
