as'salaamu alaykum,
The Center For Islamic Life at Rutgers University was attacked and vandalized this morning on this blessed day of Eid. My heart hurt so much seeing the pictures and video of what took place. They need our help to rebuild what was lost and damaged. Please give what you can to show them that we stand with them at LaunchGood.com/Rutgerschaplaincy and share with others to encourage them to give as well.

CILRU's Chaplain, Kaiser Aslam, shared these words in a statement following this hate crime:
"On the auspicious occasion of Eid, our hearts are heavy as we report an act of vandalism at the Muslim Chaplaincy house at Rutgers University.
Today, we witnessed art pieces with Quranic verses, shattered windows, vandalized TVs, broken printers, smashed artwork and the destruction of our Palestinian flag.
This reprehensible act, occurring on our sacred day, is undoubtedly fueled by Islamophobia and is clearly a hate crime targeting our Muslim population at Rutgers.
We will continue to say what we are supposed to on Eid. Allahu Akbar, God is Greater.
God is Greater than acts of hate and we will continue to carry on.
Our building can be smashed, but our wills cannot. Allahu Akbar wa lillahil Hamd!"
Please do give what you can at LaunchGood.com/Rutgerschaplaincy and share with others to encourage them to give, and be sure to keep our sisters and brothers at Rutgers University in your prayers at this time. May Allah grant them ease and safety and make each of us from amongst the best of their supporters. Ameen
