For Immediate Release: Demand Letter from 28 Houses of Worship, Businesses, and Community Associations Regarding the Arrest of Peaceful Protestors at UT Dallas

The Islamic Association of North Texas ("IANT")along with 27 other houses of worship, businesses, and community associations in the DFW Metroplexcollectively serving tens of thousands of individuals (and the recipients' constituents) across our respective communitieshas remitted the letter linked below to key individuals in the Cities of Richardson and Allen, as well the Counties of Dallas and Collin, among those others CCed. Summarized, the letter demands accountability from city leaders for what the undersignedbelieve to be a wholly unjustified and disproportionateresponse to our community members exercising their First Amendments right to peaceful protest and assembly in one of the most protected forumsa public campus.
