WOMENS COMMUNITY DIALOGUE

Womens Community Dialogue

Exploring Truths & Dispelling Myths About Women in Islam

Last Sunday, September 22, ISAK held the first Womens Community Dialogue in collaboration with Akron Masjid, the Womens Interfaith Spiritual Heritage, and the Akron Area Interfaith Council. Alhamdulillah, the event was a success, bringing together around 50 women from diverse backgrounds.

The goal of the event was to highlight the realities of Muslim women while addressing common misconceptions through engaging breakout discussions. Our keynote speaker, Sr. Shazia Nasir, delivered an inspiring talk on the equality of women in Islam, influential women during and after the time of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), and the many accomplishments and contributions of Muslim women today.

Many participants left with a richer understanding of Islamic values and a deeper respect for Muslim women, Alhamdulillah. We look forward to continuing these important dawah efforts, InshaAllah.
