Dear ISAK Community,

As-salamu 'alaykum!

The Islamic Society of Akron and Kent (ISAK) will hold its General Assembly Meeting at the Islamic Community Center on November 9 at 5:45 PM, insha'Allah. The meeting will include updates from the President and members of the Board of Directors. Attached is a detailed agenda for your reference. We encourage all General and Active Members to attend.

Also during the upcoming meeting, perspectives will be presented for and against the revised ISAK Constitution and Bylaws that have been drafted by a four-member Bylaws Committee. A formal vote may be taken to decide on the matter if a quorum of 50% Active Members is in attendance. Please note that the ISAK Board of Directors and Board of Trustees have made a negative recommendation for the proposed revisions with an overwhelming majority. Attached are the relevant documents for your consideration:

The Bylaws Committee has also scheduled a pre-meeting on Sunday, October 27 (4:00PM) at the community center to present their proposed changes. ISAK leadership will present their case against the changes during the GA meeting, insha'Allah.
