Get ready for a powerful journey this Ramadan! We invite you to strive towards goodness in this blessed month. Every good deedwhether through worshipping Allah in prayers, reading the Qur'an, embodying good character, or helping othersbrings us closer to the essence of Ramadan.
What does it mean when Allah commands us to "Race to all that is good" in Surah Al-Baqarah? Who are the forerunners mentioned in the Qur'an? What challenges do we face today, and how can we navigate them?

Join us every night in Ramadan for a community iftar dinner to break your fast. Taraweeh prayers will be held after Isha prayer every night of this blessed month. Ramadan at the IC is open to everyone! It doesnt matter if you've never been to the IC or have been here for years, whether you're fasting or not, if you are Muslim or come from another faith tradition (or none), we welcome everyone! Its all part of what makes the experience at the Islamic Center unique, and what will make your Ramadan in NYC unforgettable.

Another way to contribute to Ramadan at the Islamic Center is by covering the cost of one iftar. Every evening during Ramadan, we host between 600 - 800 people. If you can cover an entire night, part of a night, or gather a group of friends to get together and cover a night, we would greatly appreciate your support.

We need volunteers each night to help us make Ramadan a great experience for everyone. Community Access Form
If you are not a current NYU student, faculty, or staff member, you must request in-person access via our Building Access Form before arriving. If the form is not submitted, you will not be able to enter the IC building.
Upon arrival, all visitors will be required to present a physical, government-issued photo ID to gain access to the IC building. Digital copies will not be accepted. No exceptions.
