Inclement Weather Announcement for TODAY, THURSDAY, January 9th, 2025

INCLEMENT WEATHER ANNOUNCEMENT

Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

Due to the inclement weather conditions (extreme freezing temperature and unsafe road conditions) that are forecasted to continue for the rest of today (Thursday, January 9th), the Imam and Shura of IACC strongly encourage community members to pray all of today's prayers at home (Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib & Isha).

Indeed, it was the sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to tell people to pray at home during inclement weather, as reported by several authentic reports (Muslim:697).  

Allah (Most High) tells us in the Quran, "Allah wants ease for you; He does not want hardship for you." (Baqara, 2:185). And the Prophet (peace be upon him) said in a famous hadith, "There shall be no initiating harm, nor reciprocating harm." (Ahmad, Ibn Majah). 

***All in-person classes, programs and activities at IACC (Afternoon) has been  cancelled for today, Thursday, January 9th, 2025 and the Masjid will remain closed***
