Incident at Masjid's parking lot
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
_Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barkatuh,_Masjed As-Saber
As many of you may have heard, an unfortunate incident occurred today in the Masjid's extended parking lot. A confrontation took place between two individuals from our community, which resulted in one person being shot.
We strongly condemn this act of violence and the actions of those involved. While this incident occurred on masjid grounds, it was an isolated event, not involving anyone else.
Although it happened near the ISP school, we are relieved to confirm that no students or staff were harmed. At this time, one individual is in police custody, and the other has been hospitalized, though their condition remains unknown. Law enforcement responded swiftly and handled the situation thoroughly.
We kindly request that no one speak to the media on behalf of Masjid As-Saber and urge the community to avoid spreading misinformation or rumors. We will keep you informed with any verified updates as they become available. We ask Allah to protect our community and guide us to always act with wisdom and patience.
