Important Message from Election Commission
Dear All Registered ICCG Community Members,
We are pleased to announce the final list of candidates who will compete in the upcoming election for the Board of Directors of 1010 WAQF Inc. (dba Islamic Community Center of Gainesville/ICCG). After a thorough review and verification process, the following candidates have been confirmed (pls see attachment for details):
General Board Position:
There are 4 available positions (besides reserved female seat) on the General Board. The following five candidates (in alphabetical order) will compete for these positions:
- Fatih Gordu, PhD
- Jose Vilmenay
- Ladan Jiracek
- Mondal Zahid, PhD
- Sartaj Baban
Each voter will cast a maximum of 4 votes to elect 4 board members out of the 5 candidates.
Reserved Female Director Position:
Dr. Marwa Tantawy is automatically elected to the female director position due to the lack of other female candidates.
Student Members Position:
Brothers Ahmad Sami Almulla and Sahidul Islam are automatically elected to fill the two positions allocated for Student Members on the Board.

All registered community members are invited to cast their votes on:

Time: 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Location: ICCG
To cast your vote, please bring one form of photo ID (e.g., driver's license, UF ID) and come in person.
