Important Announcement About Jummah Prayer today
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Assalmu Alaikum wa Rahmatullhi wa Baraktuh,
Dear Respected Community Members,
Due to the heavy snowfall across the DFW area, we urge everyone to take all necessary precautions when traveling to Jummah prayer this Friday. Your safety is our top priority, and we strongly advise you to carefully assess road conditions before heading out.
As usual, we will have two Jummah prayers at their regular times:
First Jummah: 1:00 PM
Second Jummah: 2:15 PM
Please note: The parking lot may be slippery due to snow and ice. We request everyone to walk carefully and avoid rushing to prevent any falls or injuries.
For your safety, we recommend the following precautionary measures for snowy roads and parking lots:
1. Drive Slowly: Reduce your speed and allow extra time to reach your destination.
2. Maintain Distance: Keep a greater distance between your vehicle and others on the road.
3. Brake Gently: Avoid sudden braking to prevent skidding.
4. Check Tires: Ensure your tires are properly inflated and have good traction.
5. Be Cautious While Walking: Watch your step, wear sturdy footwear, and avoid slippery areas in the parking lot.
If you feel it is unsafe to drive, please stay home and pray uhr instead. Islam prioritizes the protection of life, and ensuring your safety is a collective responsibility.
The Prophet Muhammad () said:
When it is very cold or raining heavily, pray in your homes.
[Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 632]
