Assalamu Alaikum Dear Community and Eid Mubarak.
ISM has decided to hold the Eid Al-Fitr prayer services on Sunday, March 30 at our three masjid and facilities, at 7:30am, 9:00am and 10:30am.
We will NOT be holding prayers in downtown Milwaukee.
We were informed this afternoon that the Baird Center is hosting the “Adepticon” convention which continues through Sunday.
Adepticon is a “war gaming” convention. They are using the ENTIRE Baird convention center except the one hall which the ISM reserved months ago. The convention has so many attendees that every available hotel room in downtown Milwaukee is booked.
Parking is also very difficult because of the number of people attending the convention.
More importantly, we do not feel that the nature of the convention fits into our family friendly Eid event.
We apologize for this late change, but we feel it is in the best interest of our community.
