Imam Isa Hoxha Scholarship Award Applications Now Open!

Dear Community Members,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Imam Isa Hoxha Scholarship Award, a new initiative dedicated to recognizing and supporting outstanding students within our community. This scholarship honors the legacy of Imam Isa Hoxha and aims to encourage academic excellence and spiritual reflection.

Scholarship Awards:

First Place: $2,500
Second Place: $1,500
Third Place: $1,000

Eligibility Criteria:

Active member of the Albanian Muslim community
Reside in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania
Enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. university
Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
Submit an essay on the theme: Reflection of My Faith

Essay Guidelines:

Word Count: 500 - 750 words
Format: Typed, double-spaced, 12-point font, Times New Roman
Language: English

Students are encouraged to reflect deeply on their faith and its impact on their lives. Consider these questions in your essay:

Can you share a personal experience that deepened your connection to your faith?
How has your faith provided guidance, comfort, or strength during difficult times?
In what ways do you practice and uphold your faith in your community and daily life?
How do you see your faith shaping your future goals?
What lessons from your faith do you hope to carry forward and pass on to future generations?

Application Deadline:

Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT

A dedicated selection committee will review applications and essays to determine the scholarship recipients. Winners will be announced and honored on the Night of Qadr during Ramadan.
