Update on Imam al-Asr Masjid Project
Assalam Alaykum,
As we approach the end of the fiscal year, we pray this message finds you and your loved ones in good health and high spirits.
As you know, we are working diligently towards the establishment of the Imam al-Asr Masjid and the construction of our community center. This initiative aims not only to strengthen our spiritual bond but also to provide a space where our community and younger generation can come together to learn, worship, grow, and thrive.
Over the past year, with your prayers and support we've made important strides in fulfilling our vision. We finalized a plan to bring municipal water to the masjid, which will benefit the neighborhood in addition to our own project. We have also completed and submitted the mid-cycle review to Fairfax County for our site plan after receiving comments from the county and outside agencies. The next stage, for the first quarter of 2024, is to complete the engineering drawings for the masjid and begin applying for construction permits.
With the grace of Allah, we are hoping to hold our groundbreaking by June 2024. As we approach the construction phase of the project, your continued support, prayers, and valuable contributions are more needed than ever.
