Imam al-Asr Masjid Fundraiser
Dear community members,
Assalam Alaykum!
"Only those shall maintain Gods mosques who believe in God and the Last Day, and maintain the prayer, and give the zakat, and fear no one except God. They, hopefully, will be among the guided." (Surah al-Tawbah, verse 18)
We are very pleased to share with you the excellent news of a very successful fundraiser for the Imam al-Asr Masjid which was held on Saturday, April 27, 2024. With the grace of Allah, over $500,000 in pledges were raised for the masjid.
The fundraiser was hosted by the Baitul Ilm Academy. Baitul Ilm, under the leadership of its founding Imam, Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Shaykh Amir Mukhtar Faezi, is a thriving Shia Muslim community in the Chicago suburb of Streamwood, Illinois. Although Baitul Ilm has its own extensive and capital-intensive expansion in the works, the community generously dedicated their annual fundraiser this year to support the Imam al-Asr Masjid project.
We at Imam al-Asr Masjid are immensely humbled and honored by the generosity of the entire Baitul Ilm community, who demonstrated in action that they are a role model for the Muslim community in America. We pray to Allah to bless Baitul Ilm and grant it ever-increasing grace and success. May He allow them to continue serving as pioneers and trailblazers in serving Islam, and may their community continue to grow and thrive.
In particular, we are tremendously grateful for the visionary leadership of Hujjatul Islam Maulana Faezi and for the invaluable guidance and inspiration he has given our Imam al-Asr community over the years. May Allah increase his tawfiq and grant him success and reward in this life and the next.
Jazakum Allah Khairan -
