As-salamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah IFN Community,
I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits.
First and foremost,Alhamdulillah, I am pleased to report that the participation in our masjid programs has been growing over the past year. For example, we had over 50 people attend the_Maintaining Intergenerational Relationships_program in person, while approximately 200 people joined via livestream. Similarly,_The Virtues of al-Sham_lecture had around 50 attendees in person, with 250 online viewers, and_The Islamic Inheritance Laws_lecture attracted more than 60 attendees in person, with nearly 400 watching online. The_World of Jinn_lecture saw over 80 attendees in person, while close to 1,000 people joined the livestream. Our_Islamic Finance_lecture had over 60 attendees in person, with 400 online viewers.
These numbers indicate that, Alhamdulillah, our efforts to increase community engagement are showing positive results. I sincerely appreciate everyones participation, whether in person or online, and I am motivated to continue improving our offerings.
As part of my thesis, I recently sent out a survey to gain insight into how we can further improve our community engagement. Alhamdulillah, I was happy to see the responses from our IFN community, and these insights will help us better tailor our programs to serve you. The feedback from the survey is not only invaluable for my research but will also guide the development of future programs here at IFN.
In the coming months, we are planning several exciting events, including a_Fiqh of Ramadan_workshop, as well as workshops by guest speakers fromMiftah Seminaryon_Anchoring with the Quran_and seminars by theFamily Youth Instituteon mental health, parenting, and Ramadan preparation for parents. Additionally, we will host a session specifically designed for the youth, which will provide valuable insights into their needs and growth. We will continue to prioritize bringing in qualified guest speakers who can address both core Islamic topics and unique subjects that are not commonly covered at other masajid.
One of the survey comments suggested incorporating more bonding activities before events, and InshaAllah, we will begin implementing this starting with this Sunday's event at noon. I am hopeful that these activities will foster a greater sense of community and connection.
As always, I deeply appreciate your feedbackwhether positive or constructiveas it encourages me to strive for excellence (ihsan) in serving you all.
May Allah grant us sincerity.
Your brother,
Azfar Uddin
